JourneyEd Expands into Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Solutions

JourneyEd, the EDU Techstore, has announced the availability of zSpace augmented reality for educational institutions.

Dallas, Texas, June 6, 2018 – JourneyEd has officially announced the availability of zSpace to help K-12 and higher education schools expand into new interactive and innovative technologies.

As many K-12 schools, colleges and universities are undergoing a new phase of innovation and transformation with the creation of Career and Technical Education(CTE) and Science,Technology, Engineering and Math(STEM) programs, zSpace offers cutting edge interactive and immersive learning experiences for health science, manufacturing, transportation and agriculture.

Each all-in-one zSpace computer features the world’s only AR/VR stylus, allowing students to interact with virtual objects and understand the science behind them.  Unlike other virtual reality solutions, such as head-mounted displays, zSpace enables interaction and group collaboration. Best of all, zSpace empowers students to “learn by doing” in an environment where it is easy to undo mistakes, make changes, and not worry about material costs or clean up.

“We are pleased to become a channel partner for a leader in technology like zSpace,” said Greg Lamkin, CEO of JourneyEd. “zSpace has a proven solution that is changing the classroom and they way students learn in schools nationwide”

The zSpace learning experience consists of zSpace all-in-one computers with AR and VR capabilities, a suite of learning apps built for zSpace and educational content that features hundreds of learning activities and teaching resources.

JourneyEd’s AR/VR product lines offerings will be lead by new JourneyEd team member and Business Development Manager, Dr. Joe Hutcheson. “Creating engagement through exploration and experiential learning in a student-centered environment defines the zSpace learning experience. zSpace supports state standards by encouraging students to inquire, take risks, solve problems, and apply their learning while building confidence and expanding interest.” added Hutcheson
